'A strange Disappearance' By Emily Scally

A strange disappearance

I disappeared on the night before my twelfth birthday. Little did I know, trying to find my missing dog was harder than I thought?

“Ella, Ella!” I scream over the dim. My dog ran off, chasing a man in a black hoodie. The faint sound of her barking got harder, and harder to hear. The streets are dark. ‘That man must have been bad’ I say to myself. It’s all very strange. Ella used to only lie around and be lazy. My mind gets carried away, and I just keep running, until I enter a forest. Suddenly everything goes black.

I wake up, and I am confused. I look around, but everything is pitch black. I look up, and realise I have fallen down a hole that was covered with leaves, which must have been a forest trap.  “HELP! ANYONE?!” I scream. Overwhelmed, I start to cry. “WATCH OUT!” “Huh?” I look up. Another girl has walked into the same trap, and coming straight at me. Suddenly, everything goes pitch black again. “Earth to- whoever you are!” The girl says to me. “Hi,” I say to her. “We need to get out of here,” we both say.  “I’m Leah, and what’s your name?”  She asks me. “Abigail, my name is Abigail.” I reply. Luckily, Leah is a hiker, so she had a rope.

We climbed out. I realise that Ella is still missing. “Where do you live? I can help you back to your home.” Leah tells me. “That would be great! I live in Main Street Drive.” I tell Leah.  “That’s great; it’s a five minute walk from here.” Five minutes later, we arrive at my house, and I can see my mother making my cake, and my Father on the phone, probably looking to see if anyone knew where I was. It seems Ella found her own way home, little did we know, Ella helped the police by barking and chasing after that man, it raised attention and the man was arrested, he was a robber! When I got home we all continued our normal lives, and Leah is my best friend to this day.
